01 Inspection

We inspect the property to tailor treatment.

Every home is different, and the causes of mold growth can vary — moisture conditions, structural issues, or a combination of factors. We walk the property to help you understand why the mold is there so we can tailor the treatment to your home.

Our technicians use hygrometers, moisture meters, and infrared cameras across the attic, living space, crawl space, and HVAC system. Where testing is warranted, air, tape, or culturable samples go to a third-party lab to identify the mold species present.

Single-day treatment

02 VaPURE Treatment — Sterilant Stage

The sterilant stage treats mold on contact.

The sterilant is applied as a fine mist, small enough to reach micro-cracks and crevices that traditional methods often miss. Its active ingredients include acetic acid, peracetic acid, and hydrogen peroxide — the active component is on the EPA's Safer Chemical Ingredients List, and breaks down into natural byproducts shortly after treatment: acetic acid (white vinegar), oxygen, and water.

Treatment is typically delivered in a single visit, often without demolition and with no relocation required.

03 Mold Prevention — Antimicrobial Protectant

The antimicrobial protectant helps resist future growth.

The protectant works mechanically, not chemically. After treatment, surfaces carry a layer of microscopic spikes — about 1/1,000th the size of a human hair — each carrying a single-nitrogen-atom positive electrical charge.

Mold spores are negatively charged and drawn to the spikes like magnets; on contact, the spikes physically disrupt them. There's no residue, no texture, nothing you'll ever notice is there — and it keeps working after we've left, provided the underlying moisture source is resolved.

04 Lab Verification

Post-treatment air samples are collected and sent to an independent, accredited third-party lab, then compared against the original baseline — and you get the full report. We don't close the job until it's confirmed.

Getting ready

The home needs to be vacant during treatment, so plan a place for you and your pets to be while we work. Your technician will give you a few simple instructions before arrival, like opening closets and closing windows.

How long it takes

Time varies with the size and scope of the job. Most homes are treated in a matter of hours, not days — your technician will confirm the expected timeline when the estimate is scoped.

Getting back in

Everyone — including pets — needs to be out of the home during treatment itself. We'll walk you through re-entry timing before we start, based on the size and scope of your job.

The home needs to be vacant during treatment, so plan a place for you and your pets to be while we work. Your technician will give you a few basic instructions before arrival, like opening closets and closing windows. On the day of service, your technician will call and text ahead of arrival.

The time varies based on size and scope. Most homes are done in about 5 to 7 hours — everyone leaves the home during treatment and can come back in as soon as we're finished.

Our treatment uses a very fine, roughly 7.5-micron particle — smaller than a typical mold spore, which ranges from about 12 to 30 microns. Wherever a mold spore can get in or out, the treatment can generally reach those same areas. In situations where mold is known to be behind a wall, we can make small holes between the studs to treat the back of the wall directly, then patch them afterward.
